I like this bluebird house - it is well constructed and the birds like it. Would buy another one if I had enough bluebirds for 2 houses. Bluebird Lady

Wow, we put up this bluebird house late in the afternoon and first thing in the morning, there were two sets of bluebirds attempting to make it their home.

Comes with guidelines for optimal placement. I put mine up, (under a satellite dish that sits atop a six-foot galvanized pole,) in mid March one Thursday evening. Didn't get to check it on Friday, but by Saturday morning, a pair was moving in. I did already have bluebirds in the area, and I've seen this pair fighting off a pesky starling, so I'm guessing that unless bluebirds are already present, something else will move in. The front panel swings open to clear out unwanted nests, or to clear it out for the next season. I'm not really a geek, but I'll stand and watch for them from my kitchen window with a pair of binoculars.
