At $11.77 (three weeks ago) with super saver shipping, you cannot go too wrong with this birdhouse; it is worth that amount. It's much cuter in person. However, Amazon's picture shows it in copper tones, but the one I received was in gold tones. I bought another one a couple of years ago, the cat style, and this one appears to be made the same way, with the same type of materials.
Based upon the one I bought earlier, expect that this can withstand the elements very well, both the roof and the house sides. The back opening will come completely off, so that in the event that the birds like it, you can easily clean it out.
My only negative comment concerns the wood bracket and screws that come with the house for mounting it on a wall. The screws are very cheap and will easily strip out. My previous one pulled out eventually and I ended up just nailing it back in rather than using the screws. On the other hand, it can just sit somewhere without mounting it at...Read more
