Use the Trio Martin House Pole for all martin houses that require extra support. This heavy duty pole comes in three sections of galvanized steel and features a quick lock telescoping pipe mount. Whether for seasonal cleaning, nest observation, removal during migration, or to change the location, you can easily raise and lower your house without any tools. This pole telescopes to 14 feet and can be used with the Trio Purple Martin Pioneer House. This pole has an outside diameter of 1.25 inches at the top. A ground socket is not included.

An excellent martin pole that fits perfectly into a Heath Outdoor Products AH-12SR 12/6 Room Convertible Aluminum Martin House.

Pros:
+ Made of thick steel (won't bend or get knocked over in high wind)
+ Telescoping (making for easy, raising and lowering of your bird house)
+ Interconnecting pieces (so you can't pull the pole out from the top while raising it)
+ Adjustable height (levers make it easy to lock your pole into place at whatever height you desire)

Cons:
- Somewhat confusing directions on how to assemble (basically assembling it upside down, putting each piece inside the other, so they can't be pulled out of the top when raising it, a really smart design, but not explained very well)

Very heavy and durable. However, fit inside each tube is problematic and not perfect. Tends to hang up until worked loose. Some what difficult to assemble and not easy to manage. Almost requires two people for assembly. Must be mounted in a deep hole with a poured concrete support. Once the Martin house is mounted and the pole raised it is very stable.
