This style of bird house was chosen because of the top hanger so it can be hung from a tree branch. The materials used as the price would suggest are fairly cheap, but the main frame is solidly stapled. The glued on decorative fringes probably will not last much weathering, but I doubt if the tenants will mind. The only problem is there is no way to get at the inside to clean out old nests.
Overall, a favorable purchase, a little better than I expected for the price.

This is a cute item, but not in the least practical! Can't get it to hang straight and there are many gaps in the construction. Ornamental use only,
as far as I'm concerned.

This seller has the most perfect birdhouses for sale. This one in particular is so well crafted it looks to be handmade. Keep in mind- the holes are quite small, so only tiny birds can fit in there. (Finches nested in ours)
